As humanity enters the final frontier, finding planets that are habitable becomes a gold mine. You were one of the many explorers sent out to colonize the galaxy, the only difference is you successfully found a habitable planet. Now you must survive until the first colony arrives.


Traverse the galaxy finding the perfect star system to settle down in. Mark planets with markers to be able to find them again no matter where you are in the galaxy. Tiny Pixel Planet's galaxy is so large, that each new save doesn't actually generate a new galaxy, but choses a random star system in the galaxy to put you in. Meaning that in theory you can find old planets that you discovered long ago in another save.


Explore your star system going from planet to planet gathering resources that you cannot find on any other planets. Navigate the planets by using their position in the night sky and using the arrow that points to the nearest body. Explore multiple procedurally generated dungeons and reach the endgame.


Once you find a planet you like, it's time to make it yours. Build with all the blocks and even use the background feature to make your builds as unique as possible. With a lot of planet types to chose from, you can always build something new. Maybe make a giant sandstone pyramid on a desert planet, or cozy cottage on a snowy planet, what you make is up to you.  

Controls:

(As of Title Update 4 you can now change keybinds in the settings menu)

-WASD/ Arrow keys to move
-E to open Inventory
- B to switch building layer
- Left click to use item/block in the first slot of the inventory
- Right click to use item/block in the second slot of the inventory
- J to use the item in the "J" slot (press J while hovering over a item in the inventory to set it to this slot)
- K to use the item in the "K" slot (press K while hovering over a item in the inventory to set it to this slot)

this new update is so cool but I did find some glitch's when you open you inventory while the boss uses his smash attack he still uses it but you don't take any damage also the boss music is very glitched out also is the ruin at the end of the game from the flying city in island builder legacy

Hello! I am glad you are enjoying Title Update 5! Admittedly I have not been updating the itch.io page since I released Tiny Pixel Planets on steam, however, The bugs you addressed have been fixed in TU5.2 which is the version on steam (except the buggy music, I will look into that). I will try to get TU5.2 released on itch.io soon, or at least a update explaining what’s going on. As for the ruins on the endgame planet, Tiny Pixel Planets takes place before Island Builder Legacy, however the planet the ruins are on is the same planet Island Builder Legacy takes place on (Hence why there is a trinanium shard there which is what powers the core).

this game is awesome but I found a bug and I have a suggestion

bug : when I open a chest or trade menu it will never close

suggestion : can you add a way to put oxygen in places that don't have it or have a way to increase your oxygen tank capacity also can you add doors

another thing that is a mix of both ideas can you add air lock doors so anything inside has air but everything outside does not

Hello and thanks for the comment! Title update 5 (the current update I am working on) fixes the bug you mentioned. As for the oxygen, I have experimented with adding air vents that can ventilate enclosed areas, but I don't think I can perfect it in time for Title update 5, but I have added a way to increase suit oxygen storage. Also so far there will be two door types to expect from the new update, along with electric systems to automate said doors.

The description is reminiscent of Starbound (perhaps you were inspired by that game?). I hope you won't abandon the development of this game : D

I would definitely be lying if I said I wasn't inspired by Starbound. My main goal for this game is for it to be it's own thing however, so while on the surface this game seems similar to Starbound, it actually varies greatly from the game (that's the hope anyways). I am hard at work with the newest update, Title update 5, so I have no plans of abandoning the development of this game. Thanks for the comment!

I do have 3 2 bugs to report, as well as 3 suggestions.

Bug 1: There are two chest recipes. One costs 8 wood, the other 78 wood.

Bug 2: When you place a chest on the same block as a background block the background block is rendered invisible, which can be seen around the edges of the chest. This is especially apparent when putting a chest inside a house or other structure.

Bug 3: Sometimes I randomly lose the ability to open block menus (crafting, smelting, etc) and the only way to fix it is to save and exit to the menu and then re-enter the world. Nvm I'm stupid, I just needed to press B

Now for the 3 suggestions.

Suggestion 1: Add some kind of unbreakable filler block or texture to the underside of planets so that it's not an empty void when you dig deep enough.

Suggestion 2: The ability to close inventory and block menus by pressing [E], as pressing [E] to open your inventory only to have to click on the item bar to close it is a bit annoying

Suggestion 3: Either a settings menu to change key binds and such, or switching the slot keys from [J] and [K] to [R] and [F]

As for the bugs you have mentioned I have already fixed them in the new update I have been working on (I will be posting a devlog on the update later today).

As for your suggestions, I really like the ideas you gave. I imagine having something like minecraft’s bedrock under the worlds would work. As for key binds that is something I will try to implement in this upcoming update as I could imagine this would be a good feature.
