its here! after so long another devlog! this one is going to be a juicy one so buckle up and enjoy some news!

Features so far:

obviously Island Builder 2 has changed since the first devlog, so lets go over the current features.
-better textures
- reworked building engine for future update
-New inventory system, and it looks amazing
-Better background, has a better pixel art vibe.

New building engine:

the last engine was fine and all, but was not at all built for the inventory system, so when I went in to change the engine I thought I might as well do a whole rework. Now the building engine is capable of doing everything I plan for the future and more. So I am very sure that this will be the final engine for the final game. But that does not mean the game is close to release by any means.

New inventory system:

The previous inventory system was just a option menu on what block to select. Now there is a  professional inventory system along with how much of that certain block you have. If you ever played a sandbox game with a inventory system then you could probably guess how this inventory system works. You press the hotkeys to select the block and then build away.

Planned features:

I will not go in depth on how these features will be as I will when they are implemented.  

planned features are:
-Day/Night cycle
-Bigger inventory
-Weather system
-Have quest to complete (this will be explored next devlog)
-Have a main player

release info:

As of now I have no idea on when I will release this to public, however eventually when I get enough game play to make this game fun to play I will release it as a private beta and for those who want to try out the beta I will set up a patreon. However that point is still a bit away. As for the price of the game on public release it will be free, completely free, as in no ads and no in-app purchases.  Think of Island Builder 2 as a free update to Island Builder.
